Another food blog with exquisite photos, Sugarcrafter is one that I just started reading a few weeks ago. I connected with Tracy on Twitter and became an instant fan of her recipes, her writing, and, obviously, her photos. She and Kamran are acting as fantastic role models for me as I continue to develop my own blog and style of food photography. I cannot wait to try all of Tracy’s recipes that I bookmarked!
Thank you so much for your kind words, Michelle – you are too sweet! I look forward to getting to know you more via Twitter, as well as on your own lovely blog!
And now, to spread the blog love – here are the rules for the One Lovely Blog Award:
- Link to the person from whom you’ve received the Award
- Nominate blogs you really like, preferably ones you have recently discovered
- Leave a message on the nominees’ blogs telling them of their Award
Here are my nominees, in no particular order:
Bake at 350 – Bridget’s blog is probably the first food blog I started reading when I decided to make the transition from a personal blog to a baking/food blog at the beginning of this year. I e-mailed her to say hi and to ask her where she gets the cookies cutters to make her super cute and creative cookies, and the rest is history! She’s just as sweet – and talented! – as can be, so stop by to check out her wonderful cookie creations! She also just joined Twitter, so be sure to make her feel welcome there, too!
She’s Becoming DoughMessTic – I started following Susan’s blog back in August when she hosted the Penny Pinching Pantry Raid, which was a TON of fun. (She also found me a fantastic deal on a reconditioned KitchenAid mixer, which has changed my baking for the better in so many ways!). Those great things aside, she’s also an all-around fun person, and frequently makes me laugh out loud while I’m reading her blog. If you want a little snark with your food, you’ve come to the right place!
Food Finery – I found Tiffany’s blog through Susan’s when she hosted a blogger penpal event. Tiffany wrote to me and also sent a recipe card for an aMAZing risotto. It was fun to get actual mail from another blogger! I found out that somehow she’d slipped through the cracks though, and nobody wrote to her. So, I wrote back, and we’ve been penpal-ing ever since! She has a wonderful blog with lots of sweet treats and savory dishes. And, she just joined MacTweets, so you can follow her adventures in making macarons!
Flamingo Musings – I met Renee when she contacted me on Twitter to let me know about the #GreatHallowTweet BlogHop she was going to host the week leading up to Halloween. Me and several other bloggers made Halloween treats during the week and posted about them, and then “hopped” to each other’s blogs via the links Renee provided. Renee was a wonderful host, and it was great to see all of the creative things people did and to connect with other bloggers. Now, Renee is in the HBin5 baking group that I’ll be participating in starting in January. I can’t wait to see all of her lovely bread creations!
Fahrenheit 350 – When Kitty contacted me to ask if I’d be willing to give something away for her Blogoversary celebration/contest, I told her I’d be honored to! She has a big heart for others, and that definitely comes out on her blog – if there’s a party, she wants you to join in! She even featured me one day last week in the countdown leading up to her contest end. In fact, I don’t think a winner has been announced yet – so go on over and check out her lovely blog, and enter her contest!
ETA: Thanks to Barbara at Barbara Bakes for providing me with the award logo!
