Birthday Rose Cake

I made this cake for my good friend Becky, whose birthday we celebrated last night (yes, the same gal who made fondant and pierogi with me)!  Inside is a double layer of her favorite, red velvet.  I was so excited to give her my present – I got her the cutest cupcake plate:

    I got it at T.J. Maxx, but when I got back from the store and did a little research online, I found it in a set of 4 that Target sells (online only).
