Goodies Abound

Yesterday we celebrated my friend S’s birthday, and I surprised her with this cake:
It was a double-layer German chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream frosting. I got to play with more of my cake tips, and she loved it, so mission accomplished!
Also, I sent a plate of goodies over to another friend’s house with some hastily assembled cake truffles aboard. I used the scraps from the cake I made above, and it was just the right amount!
